The Worshipful Company of Æthelmearc Cooks and Bakers
Newsletter (COMING SOON!!)
The Worshipful Company of Æthelmearc Cooks and Bakers welcomes you to their website!
This group was founded in July of 2001 when its mailing list was created to network those interested in cooking and cooking research in Æthelmearc to share information, as well as to be a point of contact for smaller areas that may not have many cooks, but still wanted to have feasts. It also became an excellent place to share ideas and encourage each other. Its charter was approved by Their Exellencies, Count Andrew and Countess Alexandra in January of 2002, making it an official guild of the Kingdom of Æthelmearc.
Now, four years after its creation, the guild is still continuing in its mission of sharing information, and showing people that Medieval and Renaissance food is just as fabulous as we've always told you it is. We are still a thriving and vibrant community that has grown as people become more interested in what it is that we do.
The information here is just to get you started, please join our
mailing list and sign up to be able to talk to all of us. We may not
have all of the answers, but we have lots of books, research abilities,
great senses of humor. Welcome to our portal, and we look forward
to hearing about your projects and interests.
There is now a AEthelmearc Medieval Cooking Research Search Engine. Additions are welcome, so please add your site or sites that you find useful but aren't there. It's a handy way to build up an online source of information that we can easily direct new cooks to.
